This is a pic by the fireplace of the metal firewood lograck. It's got a great leaf pattern "growing" out of the frame. I shot it with the light coming from the side so I could use the shadows to give it some depth.

This is my Citizen Eco-Drive Skyhawk Blue Angels Watch. Of all the watches that I've ever owned this one is, by far, my favorite. Why? Mainly because I'm lazy and since its solar powered I never have to wind it. It also has all the expected cool features like a stopwatch, chronogrph, 3 alarms, etc.

Due to my love of music and the fact that I've wanted to learn the violin since I was about 10 I recently went out to Arts Music Shop to pick one up. After talking at length to one of the salesmen he talked me into buying a viola instead. Why? well mainly because it's easer to get bookings. Apparently there is an over-abundance of violin players but not that many viola players. Sold!

I've played guitar off and on for several years now and absolutely love my electric guitar. This is an ESP LTD EC1000
and man, does it rock! Playing clean it has a very warm and full sound, when I crank up the distortion, Look Out, you WILL be rocked! :D

I had a photo shoot booked today and since the best light outside is always either sunrise or sunset we decided to beat the crowd and got there before sunrise. This, of course, meant that I had to be up well in advance to get ready, get my gear setup, and drive to the location. I don't think I've seen 3:30 in the morning in a looong time! We went out to an old abandoned bridge over a river and got some fantastic shots. It was pretty easy since Kayla is both gorgeous and has plenty of experience modeling.

Many of you know that I love riding my bike and have been known to ride to work on occasion. Today was not one of those days. I was off (yippee) so I hoped on my bike and just headed out, no plans, no destination, nothing. As I was peddling down the road I came across this old barn/warehouse and decided to stop to take some pics. I made my way through the briers and the grown up brush to the barn. All the doors were open and most of the windows had been broken so I had to be careful of glass. When I went inside the storage area and looked up, this is what I saw...

My buddy Dru is joining the Army so we threw him a little get-together to wish him well. During the party Paul decided to gather everyone in the living room so that we could pray over him and speak words of encouragement to him. Great times!

On Sunday, Februery 21st, 2010 Westwood Baptist Church in Alabaster, Alabama held a shoe drive to collect shoes to send to Haiti. Attenders were urged to wear the pair of shoes that they would be giving away and to leave barefoot. Though very unconventional, it helps to remind everyone of those that go without shoes every day due to poverty and national disasters. Giving shoes is the chance to make a world of a difference in the life of a person in need through a seemingly small contribution and to open the door to sharing the gospel. I had the humbling opportunity on Sunday to take pictures of all of the couples (14 in all) that were dedicating their babies to the Lord. Since I was at the very back of the worship center and couldn't use a flash none of the parents really paid much attention to (or looked at) the camera...except for this guy. In the pre-service meeting that we had with all of the families we let them know that I would be taking portraits for everyone. This guy got it. A portrait, that must mean I need to look at the camera and pose my baby... Yep. Smile. Click. Done.

So other than photography, I do a great deal of video editing each week, both because I enjoy it, and because the pay is rather nice. Spielberg, I hope you're listening....
